purplevains:

If you want to keep something close, bury it in your back yard.
If you want to attract something, bury it under the front door step
If you want to destroy its influence, burn it.
If you want it to move away and sink, throw it in running water
If you want to disperse it to a distance, throw it into a crossroads
If you want to fix its influence, inter it in a five-spot pattern
If you want it to work by means of spirits, bury it in a graveyard
If you want to hide its point of origin, conceal it in a tree
If you want it to work in secret, give it in food or drink
If you want it to work by stealth, hide it in clothing or on objects
If you want its influence to begin or strengthen, throw it East
If you want its influence to end or weaken, throw it West
If you want its influence to rise and fall cyclicly, float it in a tidal estuary

Friendly reminder beginner witches!

You can absolutely put conditions on a spell (i.e. this money will not come from a dying relative). You can absolutely put a time limit on a spell (i.e. bring me luck for x event on x day). That’s totally okay!

I personally come from a school of thought that believes WORDS MATTER. So I always put fine print on my spells, curses, charms, and hexes. So experiment! Find what works best for you!

Closing loopholes in your intents and incantations is a very real thing and a very important part of refining your craft.

Words matter. Intentions matter. Don’t be afraid to be specific!

Very good advice! I always add “and may this be for the good of all” at the end of my spells as a precaution!

Hi witches!

Today I’m writing short post about magic of candles, especially about colors of candles and when use certain color of your candles.

  • White – is universal, but specialty of white candles are cleansing rituals.
  • Black – used in black magic too (be careful!), but in a suitable amount moves away negative energies.
  • Gold – you can use it in rituals of healing and strengthening your aura, gold candle helps get rid of depression too.
  • Silver – lunar color, strengthens telepathy, clairvoyance, intuition. Protects against negative energies during the rituals, but also during sleep.
  • Red – is helpful when you need hope, self-confidence, health, life energy, strength, brave.
  • Orange – health, ambition, success, prosperity, helps in the fight against the “illness of the soul”, for example depression.
  • Yellow – intellect, memory, creativity, imagination.
  • Green – rituals of healing, calming, security, happiness, balance
  • Blue – inspiration, knowledge, protection, enhances prophetic dreams, is a thanksgiving for the higher energies for care.
  • Violet – strengthens each spell, gives you spiritual power, idealism, calm, tranquility, protection against negative energy, remove bad karma.
  • Pink – gives you lucky, happiness, harmony
  • Brown – stabilizes, grounds, enhances concentration, is helpful in contact with the forces of nature

I hope you like it. If you have some questions (if I forgot some candle color too :D) – ask me. Enjoy!

Mechanics of a Spell

recreationalwitchcraft:

What makes a spell a spell? What are the moving pieces and the working parts? We get this question a lot, and though there isn’t a super easy answer, this is what we’ve gathered through our practice.

Intent:

This is your thought, you desire and your purpose. This is why you perform your spell, this is what gives it meaning.

Examples of Intent: To enhance love, to increase luck, to bring bad luck

Action:

This is your moving piece. This is what transforms a mere thought into something that is acted upon. This is the glue between your intent and your energy.

Examples of action: Combining ingredients, writing or saying things aloud, burning objects, drawing sigils

Energy:

This is the driving force of your spell. This is what your intent hinges on, and what will push your intent out into the universe.

Examples of Energy: Energy from an organic or important object, crystals, herbs, materials, consecration and charging

Using this basic formula, you can create your own spells for any use with any materials on hand!

Tarot & my own experience

witchybeauty:

They should really add these things in the product description for tarot cards. Just saying. I was not warned.

🔮 Those cute little paper boxes that come with the cards? They don’t last a week. Sometimes, even less than a week.

🔮 Your cards can be quite rude.

🔮 tarot outside is scary. You got potential wind blowing your cards, possible chance of rain, it might get too hot, a random Pokemon will come to your readings. It’s a lot. At least it’s aesthetically pleasing.

🔮 Free readings are chaotic and good. They leave you tired and they give you experience.

🔮 taking a picture of the card is entirely difficult and you will not believe this statement until you try.

🔮 when you lose a card, it drains happiness from you for at least a full minute. When you find it again, it gives you joy.

🔮 It’s easy to fall in love with and that’s sad because you can’t practice all the time like you want to.

🔮 The white book is barely good. It’s only good if you truly want it. Intuitive reading rocks.

🔮 Tarot doesn’t feel as mystical as it does in the movies. You’re staring at a card. Looking for an answer. Sometimes, you feel silly.

🔮 tarot is a good device for breaking your own heart.

🔮 Spoiler alert: tarot gives no fucks about spoilers. ( at least in my experience ).
